The Southwest Virginia Ballet at The Historic Grandin Theatre for Disney’s New Film “The Nutcracker and The Four Realms”

ROANOKE, VA –The Historic Grandin Theatre is pleased to announce that on Saturday, November 3rd, the Southwest Virginia Ballet (SVB) will be at The Grandin to do a special 15-minute performance in the Main Theatre before the 3:15 and 5:15 pm showtimes of Disney’s film “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms”. The Southwest Virginia Ballet are the presenters of the annual holiday performances of THE NUTCRACKER held December 8-9, 2018 at the Berglund Performing Arts Theatre.

“As a cultural community center, the Grandin looks for opportunities to collaborate with community groups, especially fellow arts and cultural organizations who share a common goal to unleash the power of the arts in our community,” said Grandin Executive Director Ian Fortier. “This one is a perfect collaboration, a win-win for both organizations”.

“We love the theatre and we look forward to engaging theatre goers about our mission and our presentation of the THE NUTCRACKER in December. The Main Theatre at the Grandin is such a great space to share some of who we are and what we do with Grandin Theatre goers”, said Pedro Szalay, Artistic Director for Southwest Virginia Ballet.

In addition, Southwest Virginia Ballet will have ballet dancers welcoming our patrons and friends in the lobby. The Grandin Theatre would like to encourage parents to bring their kids wearing their Nutcracker costumes and ballet attire as they will have the opportunity to take pictures with the Southwest Virginia Ballet dancers.

The general admission for these screenings is $7.75.
