Introduction and Q and A will be provided by Russian Professor Rachel Strauffer of Ferrum College.

Dr. Rachel Stauffer is Assistant Professor of Russian and Associate Director of International Programs at Ferrum College where she regularly teaches courses on Russian language, literature, culture and film. She publishes on a variety of topics on Russia, particularly on intersections of language and culture. A Roanoke native, she received her BA from Randolph-Macon Woman's College and her MA and PhD in Slavic Languages and Literatures from the University of Virginia. She has traveled multiple times to Russia, including a one-year stint as a security guard at the US Embassy in Moscow.
