The Grandin Theatre Foundation is now accepting applications for the following position:
DEVELOPMENT & MARKETING DIRECTOR
Responsibilities of the Development & Marketing Director include implementing and strengthening an overall development strategy to raise annual operating funds; secure sponsorships for programs and events; secure corporate and foundation donations; annual campaign: board and individual giving; oversee special fundraising events. Development & Marketing Director will work closely with the Executive Director, Development and Marketing Committees of the Board of Directors, other staff and volunteers in contributing to the mission of the Grandin Theatre Foundation.
The Development & Marketing Director reports to the Executive Director.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Specific duties include:
1. Design and implement the Annual Campaign, which may include direct mail, phone-a-thons, donor cultivation and recognition, and a responsive and effective customer service program for donors.
2. Maintain established Annual Membership Campaign and refine as needed to attain goals as established in development plan.
3. Design and implement a plan to generate contributions from businesses, utilizing contacts and efforts of the Board of Directors.
4. Oversee the planning and execution of benefit events such as galas, auctions and other special fund raising events to insure maximum net financial results from such efforts.
5. Establish and maintain development and marketing policies, records and procedures, ensuring ethical standards for soliciting and reporting gifts, for meeting the expectations of donors (individual, corporate, foundation and government).
6. Serve as staff liason to the Development & Marketing Committees of the Board of Directors.
7. Secure sponsorships for special events such as the annual Silver Screen Soiree.
8. Research and implement funding options to increase seat, star sales, and slide and marquee opportunities.
9. Prepare fund raising budget recommendations for the Executive Director, projecting goals for both revenue and expense.
10. Participate in other activities of the Grandin Theatre Foundation as directed by the Executive Director.
